July Beauty Favourites

Yes, it's time for you guys' favourite segment of all: my monthly beauty favourites! (woop woop!) I've been testing and trying out a lot of new goodies this month and I'm absolutely buzzing (a little bit Geordie there) to share my picks with you!

Nude & Noir Multi-Use Cream Face Palette (Bijou)*- £36.00
Ever since I started venturing into the world of cream contouring, I've been really loving cream face products and this multi-use face palette just has it all.

I have the shade 'Bijou' (lovely name), containing three shimmers, which are ideal for highlighting and one pinky blush/lip colour.

From top to bottom: Diamond, Amber, Obsidian, Jasper
As you can see from the swatches, these are absolutely stunning and give a really natural finish, which I'm obsessed with. I'm also incredibly impressed with the range of highlighters you're getting, as they cater for pretty much any and every skintone - I use shades 'Amber' and 'Obsidian' on my cheekbones and nose, 'Diamond' for that pop in the inner corner and 'Jasper' on my lips only (I'm not a huge blush wearer as it almost NEVER shows up on my skin - the struggle...)

In terms of formula, due to the coconut oil, these can appear to be quite stiff (especially if stored in a cold environment), however, you'll discover that beautiful soft texture as soon as you warm up the pan with your fingers, so that's no problem at all.

I got this beauty from Glow Organic, a cosmetics website specialising in completely natural and organic beauty products which, as you guys know, is something I'm 100% in support of. So, please go and check out their website - there's a plethora of wonderful, natural products to be discovered!

Dollbaby London Platinum Range Double Quad Stacked 3D Mink Eyelashes (Seductress)* - £13.50
Gosh, that was a mouthful! But, let me tell you, it was totally worth it as this pair of lashes is one of a kind. They're dramatic, long and feathery, which is the perfect combination to accompany and bold eye makeup look.

The quality of these lashes is amazing - you can definitely get several uses out of these, as they're not flimsy at all. The individual lashes are so delicate and I'm also in love with the fact that they're 100% handmade and cruelty free - they tick all of the boxes for me! And, speaking of boxes, they come with a very sturdy, luxurious box to keep those lashes safe and stored in style!

Of course, on a day to day basis, these wouldn't be suitable (imagine casually popping to the corner shop with stacked lashes on) however, I recently went to a music festival in my local area and got heaps of compliments sporting these babies.

So if you're interested in purchasing these or any of Dollbaby London's other stunning pairs, you can get a whopping 10% discount using my code 'marina10' - they're, for sure, worth the purchase.

Eyeko Lash Alert Mascara* - £19.00
Now, this is going to be a rather short one, as I recently featured it in my Eyeko brand focus post, but I simply couldn't help slipping it into my favourites; it deserves to be here.

I've been using this 24/7 for the last couple of months and I'm obsessed with the length and curl it gives my lashes at the same time as adding volume and DRAMA. And, with the addition of caffeine, it really does give you that awake look - in other words, you appear rather energized although, in reality, you probably feel like a walking zombie.

Lisa Blur Ultra Satin Lipstick (Eaux)* - £11.00
And last, but certainly not least, for the makeup portion of this post is this stunning metallic lippie from Lisa Blur London.

I have to admit though, this is quite possibly the FIRST metallic lipstick that I've actually fallen in love with, as they have a major tendency to make one appear slightly extra-terrestrial looking. However, that's definitely not the case with this true copper bronze shade.

As well as not being overly glittery and 'in your face', it's very universal and would look stunning against a variety of skin tones, which, of course, I'm incredibly impressed by. And, with it's ultra satin finish and vitamin E complex, it glides on beautifully with no struggle at all.

Overall, I would totally recommend this lipstick on the grounds that it's smooth, highly pigmented and so comfortable to wear throughout the day. You'll never have a dry lip day with this - trust me!

Balm Balm Little Miracle Rosehip Serum (10ml)* - £8.00
I'm so glad that they named this product 'Little miracle' because I'm 100% in agreement with that - this serum has been my lifeline for the last while, repairing and nourishing my skin with it's essential oils.

I love to apply this before my moisturiser and let the rosehip, jojoba and borage oils work their magic, feeding my skin and allowing it to breathe. Honestly, it really has rejuvenated my complexion, making it appear a lot less dull, so thank you Balm Balm

I don't want to talk too much about them though, as there'll be a post coming up soon on that! (shhh, top secret!) They are fast becoming one of my ultimate favourite skincare brands, and I can't wait to talk to you guys about my collection of Balm Balm products and why I love them so much.

Kiss The Moon After Dark Face Oils (Love, Glow & Calm)* - £12.00
Speaking of rejuvenating skin, these oils have also had a lot to do with why I've been looking so glowy lately. These precious 'After Dark' Face Oils work so quickly overnight, leaving you with soft, plump skin in the morning!

'Love' contains rose and rosehip oil (in order to encourage skin renewal), 'Glow' contains orange and wheatgerm oil (to provide nourishment for dry/dehydrated skin) and 'Calm' contains jasmine and white tea seed (to help settle unbalanced, stressed out skin).

To top all of that off, as you can probably imagine, these smell absolutely heavenly (aromatherapy goals SHOOK), so I strongly suggest investing in at least one - a little goes a long way, so it'll last a decent amount of time before needing to be repurchased.

On another note, I've also been trying out their After Dark Face Polish* and Night Cream For Hands* - I couldn't be more in love! So, don't hesitate to check out Kiss The Moon's natural product range.

Eclado Cell Memory Cream (30g) - £44
After receiving my recent order from W2 Beauty (post to come...), I noticed that, among the many other samples included within the package (K Beauty websites are so generous guys!) that I had a SUPER deluxe sample of this wonderful cell memory cream, formulated to improve the appearance and texture of the skin.

Well, in my experience with the product, it does exactly that, which is why I'm, as we speak, in the process of purchasing a full sized version - my skin has never looked or felt better. Even the day after my first application, I noticed a huge difference in the amount of texture I had and the size of my pores, which is always fantastic to see.

So why stop something amazing just because my sample pack is empty? This stuff is the real deal; I'm so intrigued as to what it can do for my skin if I use it on more of a long term basis, which is exactly why it's worth testing out.

* The products marked with an asterisk have been gifted to me, free of charge, for review. However, all opinions on them are strictly honest.

Thank you so much for reading my THIRD monthly favourites post and I hope this one was just as enjoyable as my other two - I know you guys love reading these, so I'm going to keep them coming!

  17. Hi there!! Love this post! Ok question. I used to use Eyeko mascara and it was a tubing mascara (I forgot all about it till I read this post). Is this eyeko mascara tubing as well? I'll go read your full eyeko post but just curious about this one. Thanks for great info! I think it's so important too to know about coconut oil and warmth...people might think something is bad when it's really just cold. Great to know! XO!! Penn.smith.skincare

    Replies
    1. Hey there gorgeous, thanks so much for stopping by! xx I don't think this particular one is a tubing, however it's still absolutely wonderful and water resistant - it doesn't budge unless you force it to! xx If you would like more info, of course, you can check out my Eyeko post, that would be lovely! xx And, regarding the coconut oil, it's absolutely vital to mention something like that because there are some that'll instantly dislike the texture and pigmentation of something just because it's cold! xx Thank you so much for you comments and questions, always happy to answer gorge! xx

  18. Thanks for your discount code on those stunning eyelashes! Also, I adore the shades Amber' and 'Obsidian' from the Nude and Noir palette)yes, the struggles on making highlighting or contouring makeup visible😲😝). Question though.... Are those After Dark' Face Oils a moisturiser for your face at night or...is it kind of a face nourishment product? Great favorites post!😆
