The Top Five BEST Beauty Gurus on YouTube

Hey guys, so today's post is a little different from what I normally do; I'm going to be sharing my top 5 favourite beauty gurus on Youtube.

Youtube is something that I'm (shamelessly) addicted to. In other words, if I haven't had my daily dose of new videos by 6pm, at the latest, I throw a hissy fit. Naturally, my most watched category is, hands down, the beauty section; I've acquired a vast majority of the makeup skills I have today from those beautiful beings who upload their tutorials.

However, over the years, I've found a few gurus that I CAN NOT stop watching; I simply have to go back for more. I think we all can relate: a five minute video session always turns into a six hour marathon... Sound familiar? (Don't worry, I'm not judging you!)

Anyway, I just thought I'd give my readers a bit of an insight into what my Youtube feed's looking like at the moment and who's videos I crave each morning upon waking up. If you weren't aware of the existence of any of these lovely five, please go and check them out and show them some love! Their channels are amazing and they never fail to upload exciting new content every week.

Let's get started then!

Nikkie Tutorials:
So, to begin with, I chose the biggest fish in the sea: the fierce and the beautiful Nikkie Tutorials. Nikkie is a dutch Youtuber who began her channel around 7/8 years ago in order to share all of her makeup tips and tricks with the world. After years of dedication to the Youtube platform, her work really started to pay off, as she gathered a large following of over 6 million subscribers.

Today, she is definitely the crème de la crème when it comes to beauty Youtubers; her channel simply doesn't stop growing! And rightly so, because her makeup skills are, for sure, on point. She also does some hilarious April Fools videos, which are also worth checking out!

However, besides all of the gorgeous looks and tutorials that Nikkie's given us, she's also taught everybody to do makeup for themselves and not to impress anybody else, which is a very valuable lesson.

Jeffree Star:
Jeffre Star, despite being quite a controversial character within the online community, still remains as one of my all time favourite beauty gurus. After having a rather difficult time getting the world to understand that men CAN wear makeup, Jeffree created his Youtube channel and, since then, he's never looked back and is on CLOUD NINE.

In addition to music and Youtube, Jeffree now has a beautiful makeup line called 'Jeffree Star Cosmetics'. (Their products are STUNNING  guys!)

Jeffree's taught me to always exude confidence and be proud of myself, no matter what others say.

Stephanie Nicole:
Although she may not be considered as someone with a very large following compared to the others on this list, Stephanie Nicole is just that person that I go to before I buy a new makeup/skincare. I know her review is going to be solid, in depth and 100% honest.  Stephanie openly voices her brutal opinions about various products, which is incredibly helpful and has aided me in making a LOT of purchase decision.

If she helped me, she can for sure help you so please go and support this gorgeous lady. Being fully honest when reviewing an item isn't easy; she's doing an amazing job.

Patrick Starrr:
Slay. Munty. She betta werk! These are the words that instantly come to my mind when I think of Patrick Starrr. Patrick is one of those beauty gurus that stretches the boundaries of makeup and shows up looks we had no idea we could create. And whilst doing all of that, he manages to, with his naturally bubbly personality, entertain everyone.

So if you're looking for a light-hearted yet highly skilled beauty YouTuber, Patrick is your guy. And, don't forget: curl those lashes up to JESUS!

Jackie Aina:
Jackie Aina is somebody that I've been watching for a very long time on YouTube. She's beautiful, talented and has a stunning chocolate complexion, which makes her slightly more relatable for me in particular: her product recommendations work for my mixed raced hue 100% of the time.

However, even if you don't have darker skin, Jackie is still a pleasure to watch, as she's full of charisma and tips on how to make your makeup game just that little bit stronger than the rest. Plus, her content is very varied and creative; you'll never lose interest watching Jackie's videos.

So that brings us to the end of today's YouTube watchlist (beauty gurus edition). I really hope you guys found some new beauties to check out within the online community; you'll be sucked into their videos in no time.

How often do you find the time to watch some videos? Who are your favourite beauty gurus? Let me know in the comment section below and, as usual, please follow my blog and my social media for more juicy content!

Until next time,

    1. Yass, I like Pixiwoo and Lisa Eldridge, however, purely for informational videos. All of the lovely people I've listed produce a variety of videos that happen to be very entertaining at the same time as teaching me about makeup and products. So if you ever find yourself wanting something more lighthearted, do check these people out! x

  10. Love this! I definitely don't watch YouTube as much anymore but I have been missing it lately as it's so great for hearing people reviews on products and watching tutorials. I also definitely have a thing for watching lip swatch videos as I just want aaaaalll of the lipstick! Haha, great post lovely.

Awn, I've not been as active lately on YouTube as I was before but it's always nice to watch some tutorials/product reviews in your spare time. I also LOVE lip swatch videos; seeing the shade swatched against someone's skin or on their lips allows me to gage a bit better what undertones are there and whether it will actually suit me! x
